More than 250 financial, real estate, government, and philanthropic leaders will come together for this inspiring evening. The event program will center on the experiences of residents and share stories of resilience and hope. We will also look ahead to the work that remains to ensure that more of our neighbors have a quality, affordable home and a community that supports them at every stage of their lives.

Meet the Spirit of Mercy Awardee
Bruce Schiff is the co-founder, past president, and board member of the Illinois Housing Council. IHC works to connect hundreds of member organizations and industry leaders across the state. Bruce worked to develop financing structures to obtain and implement the Illinois Affordable Tax Credit. This work included several properties developed by Mercy Housing Lakefront.
Meet the Northern Trust Inspiring Hope Awardee
Angela Clay, a lifelong 46th Ward resident, was elected Alderwoman in 2023. A graduate of Uplift Community High School and DePaul University, she has led initiatives on affordable housing, education, and community organizing since her teens. With deep neighborhood roots, she is committed to advancing policies that create opportunity, equity, and a stronger future for all residents.
