Feb 24Mercy Housing In the News
Mercy Housing Southeast’s newest affordable housing property for seniors, Chamblee Senior Residences, was profiled for the February issue of Affordable Housing Finance. The 65-unit property is the first affordable housing for seniors in Chamblee, Georgia.
Julie Gould, President of Mercy Housing’s National Division of Lending and Consulting, was quoted in a Multifamily Executive article (February 2009) about housing policy for the new Presidential administration:
“Instead of a tax credit, it would be equity in the form of a direct federal appropriation but still run the same way through the state housing finance agencies.,..It might be a reduced program, but it is still an answer to what we are going to do with all of the folks who are being foreclosed upon and need affordable rental housing.”
