Jun 27Impactful Partnerships
We are grateful for the support of both individual volunteers and local organizations that are willing to respond to the specific needs of our residents. We would not be where we are today without the help of partners like the Denver Metro Association of Realtors Central District (DMAR). This month, DMAR sponsored a food drive to fill the food pantry at Clare Gardens. With over 200 children lacking school meals during the summer break, this will directly address the struggle with hunger that impacts younger residents.
And a BIG shout out to the Mercy Housing Mountain Plains Partnership Council! This dynamic and diverse group of supporters and community leaders work to support the Mountain Plains Philanthropy team by raising awareness of Mercy Housing in their local communities and individual networks.
This month, the Council worked to sponsor a food drive for Francis Heights, a large senior property in Denver. Providing nutritious, non-perishable food and personal hygiene items to the formerly homeless, disabled and senior residents living at Francis Heights has truly made a difference in their lives.
If you or your company are interested in sponsoring a food drive for Mercy Housing, please contact Ellen Abrams at eabrams@mercyhousing.org
