Mercy Housing Mountain Plains’ (MHMP) youngest residents can achieve academic success and stability through our Out-of-School Time (OST) programming, thanks to supporters like you. Fundamental to our Resident Services programs, OST provides structured, age-appropriate activities that help our youth to build academic and leadership skills, sustain and expand physical activity, and become actively involved in the community.

“It’s so great to watch the kids grow both academically and socially through our OST activities, during the summer and throughout the school year. As a result of offering these programs, we are seeing the positive reaction of youth exploring their own abilities, developing confidence, a sense of value, and a reduction of risky behaviors,” said Shannon, Resident Services Coordinator for Northern Heights and Driftwood Estates in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Because of your support, in 2018-19 at least 75% of MHMP children and youth in Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Utah will participate in a diverse array of OST programs that will lead to greater feelings of safety, improved school behavior, leadership skills, and self-confidence.

On behalf of all of us at Mercy Housing, thank you! We are grateful!
