Jim Alexander, a Mercy Housing resident in Georgia, is a documentary photographer, photojournalist, activist, and teacher– he is best known for being a “Participant Observer” for his photographs of human rights and black culture. He was the first artist selected in the annual “Master Artist” program conducted by the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, and his collections have been featured at the Smithsonian Institute, Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, and Yale University to name a few. Way to go Jim!
